Because so many buildings and so many services are operated by government agencies, I’d also be interested in learning what the government itself is doing on its own turf to save money through sustainability. For example, I was quite surprised to learn that a major Postal Service sorting center has a park on its roof and has implemented energy saving practices to the tune of $23 million. I’d like to see more of that at all levels of government.
