amysamplewardJD LasicaOne of the things we want to do here at Socialbrite.org is to highlight top-flight presentations, tutorials and videos that we spot on the Web. Here’s one we just came across, from nonprofit expert Amy Sample Ward: Twitter.org: Twitter for Nonprofit Organizations. Amy wrote about her presentation, and recent appearance at the 140-Character Mission: Social Media & Entrepreneurship event, here.

I’m giving a Webinar at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla., on May 12, 2009, on how news organizations should tap into the power of social media and Twitter for their local communities (Poynter charges $25) — and many of the same principles that Amy cites in her Slideshare presentation for nonprofits hold true for other kinds of organizations.

Note: We invited Amy to become a member of the Socialbrite team shortly after this post.JD Lasica works with nonprofits, social change organizations and businesses on social media strategies. See his profile, visit his business blog, contact JD or follow him on Twitter or Google Plus.
